The Akwa Ibom State Government has promised to compensate the people of Nung Ikot Obiodo in Oruk Anam Local Council who willingly accept to donate their land for the building of Kumbit Ibom Industrial Park.
This assurance was given by the state Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Mr. Ime Ekpo, yesterday while addressing the members of the community.
Ekpo, represented by Director of Lands, Mr. Udeme Isa, informed the community that a team from his ministry would be visiting the community to identify with owners of the portion of land so as to carry out enumeration process to assess and get the exact value for the economic trees and crops on the land.
He appealed to them to make themselves available, and co-operate with the ministry to ensure the success of the exercise.
